Economic growth is defined as an effort to increase production with the aim of increasing output, which usually measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or using Regional (GRDP). Absorption labor number jobs seen from people working. This study aims examine causal relationship between economic and employment in West Sumatra Province 2001-2020. The analytical tool used Granger causality test. results test for variable have a one-way employment. Whereas Province, affects employment, but does not affect growth.
